Reward and Benefits

We recognise the importance of fairly rewarding our employees for their hard work and contribution.

You will be appointed to one of our pay scales and will normally be appointed at the first point of the band. On the anniversary of your start date, providing you have displayed satisfactory performance you will progress to the next salary point. Every year you will progress through the pay scales until you reach the top point. Learn more about our pay scales.

We realise how important future planning is and we want you to be well prepared for retirement. On your first day, you will join the Civil Service pension scheme. You will receive your pension options within your first few weeks. We will contribute 28.97% of your salary to your pension.
