What our staff have to say

I joined the Senedd as a Trainee Solicitor and once qualified I was promoted to Legal Adviser.
Throughout my training contract, I received invaluable support from colleagues and I continue to benefit from their guidance,
and the ongoing opportunities for professional development.

I provide advice on a wide range of public law questions to Senedd Commission colleagues, as well as to Senedd Members and their support staff.

Every day at the Senedd brings new challenges. I have learnt so much and I am enthusiastic at the opportunities to further enhance my skills and continue developing myself as a public lawyer.

I am a text translator that specialises in legislative work. My role is to produce text so that it is available in both Welsh and English. I work closely with other colleagues to ensure that their translation requirements are met.

The highlight of my time at the Senedd was composing a poem to mark 25 years of Devolution, and reading it in the Siambr. Being a published poet is at the core of who I am, and I am grateful to the Senedd for embracing this.

My career reflects the Senedd’s inclusive culture and opportunities for growth, which have helped me develop transferable skills across diverse roles.

I’m proud to contribute to supporting the Health and Social Care Committee’s work through its scrutiny in holding the Welsh Government to account. I enjoy collaborating with an innovative integrated team in the Senedd whilst enabling the voice of stakeholders and the public through consultations initiated by the Committee.

As Chair of the Mindful Network, I champion mental wellbeing and the value of restorative breaks, especially those involving nature and movement.

I work in ICT where I build web applications that help teams to perform their business tasks more efficiently and accurately. I enjoy collaborating with different teams and undertaking training to achieve professional certifications such as ITIL and AgilePM.

I have enjoyed partaking in unique opportunities in the Senedd, such as spreading awareness about the 2026 Senedd elections by filming countdown videos as part of a social media campaign.
